Thanks for visiting the home of the one and only Reggae On The River!

This years festival will take place on Saturday & Sunday July 21st and 22nd, 2012 at the Benbow Lake State Recreation Area. Advanced tickets go on sale March 1st, and prices and artists will be announced soon. We look forward to seeing you at the 28th annual Reggae On The River!

Please Note: Until specific details of the 2012's 28th ROTR are known and posted herein we have left the bulk of the 2011 Festival information online for those who wish to review general Travel, Lodging, and other Festival details. Be advised that some of this information will soon change or may not be accurate in 2012. We'll post relevant updates as soon as we get them. Thanks!

Just the usual… sunscreen, hat, blanket, folding chairs, swimsuit, etc.

During summer it is often hot in the day and cool in the evening.  Pack layers of clothing. 

No!  The only exception is service dogs with the appropriate paperwork.  Dogs are not allowed to be left in parked cars either, so please leave them at home.

We encourage you to support the non-profit organizations who sell food inside the event, although coolers are allowed.No outside alcohol or glass bottles are allowed.

This is a family friendly event with a lively kid zone at the south end of the festival.  Children may not be left unattended.

Children 12 & under are admitted free with an accompanying adult.

Interior venue parking:
There is a limited amount of public parking located inside the festival venue on a first come first served basis.  These spaces are available by advance reservation for $30 per car.  Call the Mateel office at (707) 923-3368 to reserve your space today.Parking in Benbow:

Parking in Benbow:
The town of Benbow features a mix of paid and free parking. Parking in the Golf Lot costs $20 per car, is a short walk to the festival venue, and will be available on the day of the show until the lots fills.  Most free parking in Benbow requires a longer walk and/or shuttle ride.

festival patrons are encouraged to carpool and take the free shuttle bus

Yes, the free festival shuttle runs continuously with hourly service from Redway, Garberville, Benbow Lake Campground, and Richardson Grove Campground.

From San Francisco to venue:

Take Highway 101 North and follow to Benbow, CA.  Take Benbow exit and turn left on Lake Benbow Dr.  Follow signs to Benbow Lake State Recreation Area. 

From Eureka, CA to venue:

Take Highway 101 South and follow to Benbow, CA.  Take Benbow exit and turn right on Lake Benbow Dr.  Follow signs to Benbow Lake State Recreation. 

To Benbow Lake campground:

The turnoff for Benbow Lake campground is located 2 miles south of the main Benbow exit.  Turn on Benbow Dr. and follow signs to Benbow Lake campground. 

To Richardson Grove campground:

Richardson Grove campground is located approximately 3 miles south of Benbow on Highway 101.  Follow signs to Richardson Grove State Park and campground.
